About me

I’m a designer at heart and a leader by experience.

My career has spanned academia, freelance creative work, and enterprise product design. Each shaping how I think, communicate, and build.

Teaching sharpened my ability to communicate clearly and keep people engaged. In academic settings, ideas only land if they’re understood. I learned how to break down complex concepts, guide discussion, and create environments where people feel motivated to contribute and grow. That foundation still informs how I mentor designers and align cross-functional teams.

Freelance work kept my craft sharp. Working directly with clients requires taste, adaptability, and a constant awareness of evolving visual language. It trained my eye and kept me close to the fundamentals of composition, hierarchy, and clarity.

Leading design within a large enterprise expanded my perspective. I learned how to advocate for design in complex environments, align with stakeholders across product and engineering, and translate user-centered thinking into measurable business outcomes. I’ve seen how clarity builds trust, both in customer experiences and in organizational decision-making.

Across all of it, the through line is the same: I care deeply about thoughtful work.
